RDA Illawarra, in conjunction with the Local Jobs Program funded by the federal government, are holding a Hospitality Jobs Drive to match employers job needs with potential employees. “We are urging people who are looking for a career in the hospitality sector to attend tomorrow’s Jobs Drive at Osborne Park in Wollongong – 10am to 2pm on 7th December.”

As part of the Jobs Drive, employers in the hospitality sector have pledged over 140 hospitality jobs. We are now looking for keen job-seekers to either attend the face-to-face event at Osborne Park or go online to https://app.kitl.co/local-jobs-illawarra and apply for the jobs that are available now.

Debra Murphy, CEO of RDA Illawarra, said “jobs in hospitality are a great way to learn new skills, meet people and they can be great fun places to work too. There are plenty of jobs, all we need is to match the jobs on offer with both entry level people, such as those leaving school, as well as skilled professionals.

Those looking for work are encouraged to attend the Jobs Drive to learn more about:
• the support services and training on offer;
• what a career in hospitality can offer you; and
• hear directly from potential employers on the roles available.

About the Illawarra Skill Shortages Roundtable: The Jobs Drive targeted initiative was a result of the Illawarra Skill Shortages Roundtable desire to take action to address skill shortages. The Illawarra Skill Shortages Roundtable is convened by RDA Illawarra and is supported by Member for Whitlam, Stephen Jones, and Member for Cunningham, the Hon. Sharon Bird, as well as the federal government’s Local Jobs Program.
