RDA Illawarra welcomed Dr Rachel Bacon (Deputy Secretary Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications) to our office on Wednesday, 4 November 2020. The Chair, Eddy De Gabriele, Deputy Chair, Joanna Kubota and board member Mark Roberts and RDA team discussed several initiatives, including the Future of Work, UOW’s Health & Wellbeing Precinct and the Leadership Illawarra Program. We had in-depth discussions on RDA’s role in developing the Illawarra-Shoalhaven City Deal, and the recent launch of the Prospectus in October.
Dr Bacon commended the RDA Illawarra board and team on their contribution to the region and the outstanding initiatives being pursued. We look forward to continuing to liaise with the Deputy Secretary on the progress of these initiatives.
