Nicky Sloan

Nicky Sloan is currently the Executive Director Membership & Services/Executive Director NSW, ACT & Qld with Aged & Community Services Australia (ACSA), the leading national peak body supporting aged care and retirement living providers. ACSA proudly represents not for profit, church and charitable providers who care for more than 450,000 older Australians. Nicky leads a team of experts to deliver member services and engagement activities which support them in their service delivery and operations.

Nicky’s substantive position is CEO of Community Industry Group, the peak body for the not for profit human services sector for the Southern NSW region. She is committed to working to build a fair and inclusive community where are all people are valued and enabled to live rewarding lives.

Nicky has extensive experience in the community services industry working in women’s and family services, community development, and strategic management. Her diverse work history also includes local government, marketing, the tertiary sector, banking and finance, and owning and running small businesses. She has extensive governance experience and is currently Chair of the Board of Wollongong Conservatorium of Music and Independent Non Executive Director of Warrigal,  substantial not-for-profit company specialising in the provision of services for older people. Warrigal supports around 4,000 older people through provision of residential care, community villages, and in-home services as well as providing opportunities for community connection through Warrigal Social.

In addition to her busy work role and Board commitments, Nicky is currently in her final year of part time study for a degree in Dementia Care. She also holds a degree in Community and Environment, and in Marketing, a Diploma in Project Management and a Training and Assessment qualification.

In 2021, Nicky received the honour of being made a Fellow of the University of Wollongong.
