As the former Chief Executive Officer of Shellharbour City Council, Carey McIntyre has over 27 years’ experience in local government, having worked at Shellharbour, Campbelltown, Wollongong and Camden councils. Carey has comprehensive experience in the fields of engineering, town planning, project management and strategic planning. He has developed extensive stakeholder engagement skills and is a strong advocate for public sector administration and the opportunities that present themselves for public and private sector collaboration.
He holds qualifications in engineering, urban and regional planning and business administration, with a major in public administration.
Carey is currently the City Futures Directorate at Shoalhaven City Council.
