Participants in the Leadership Illawarra Program had a two-day visit to Canberra during June.

The schedule was a busy one, starting off with an address by the Hon. Dr. Brendan Nelson AO at the War Memorial on the topic of leadership, followed by a tour of the War Memorial and later laying of a wreath that evening.

They also met with Dr Allan Hawke AC, a former senior leader within the Commonwealth Public Service, and got a behind-the-scenes tour of Parliament House. Participants also met with current Federal Members the Hon. Sharon Bird and Stephen Jones as well as Senators the Hon. Fiona Nash and the Hon. Concetta Fierravanti-Wells.
