The NBN Futures Expo is a unique event that will focus on the capabilities of high-speed broadband and technology based solutions. This event will assist the business and community sector in unlocking the mysteries of the national broadband network and provide information, seminars, demonstrations and one-on-one time with service providers to help make the right decisions.

In the future the NBN will connect 93 per cent of all premises to a high-speed fibre network, capable of providing speeds of up to 100 Mbps which is up to 100 times faster than what we are experiencing today.

Kiama Municipal Council (KMC) is the first Council on mainland Australia to be connected to the National Broadband Network (NBN), and will receive rollout to the majority of the Municipality by the end of 2012. The greater Wollongong area will be connected within the next 18 – 24 months. High-speed broadband is no longer a dream for the NSW South Coast, it is a reality!

KMC recognise the internet and digital economy as two of the great driving forces changing the world as we know it. These driving forces, combined with the rollout of the NBN, are being embraced by the region to ensure South Coast businesses are globally competitive.
